Health and Safety Early Dismissal Dates- addendum to school calendar:
The Surrey school district has added three early dismissal dates between now and year end for school-based health and safety committees and school staff to review and revisit health and safety plans, review recommendations and implement or adjust any COVID-19 mitigation strategies. On the following three dates, students will be dismissed at 1:30:
- Friday, April 30th
- Friday, May 14th
- Monday, June 7
Ready, Set, Learn- Information for families with 3 and 4 year olds:
Students in grade 3/4 harnessed the power of the sun this week to put their designs into wood. They learned about making their own tools, protecting the environment (importance of not leaving anything glass or reflective in the woods) all with indigenous connections to the learning.
Playgrounds Closed Before and After School:
In order to reduce the risk of community spread of COVID-19, our playgrounds are closed until further notice after school.
All students are to arrive just before school start time and leave school property immediately after school.
Thank you for your help with this. We work very hard all day to maintain students in cohorts, so it is key that this work is not being undone before and after school.
